DESCRIPTION
The mission of the Committee on Equipment Theft is to define requirements in terms of productivity and cost-effectiveness including maintenance costs by product groups.
The Committee is a consolidation of the former equipment theft committee with a new working group to be formed around equipment and technology innovation. The Committee will be composed with managers from rental compaues ad manufacturer's engineers.
The former Theft Committee has started discussions on a possible cooperation in combating equipment theft with a number of European organizations, such as the Committee for European Construction Equipment (CECE), the European Confederation of Equipment Distributors (ECED) and the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC). Discussions are still in a preliminary stage and will continue in September, but a first meeting in April allowed getting an overview of all parties’ activities and priorities regarding equipment theft.
The Committee will be chaired by Martin Holmgren from Cramo.
