Kevin Appleton has been a Vice-President of ERA since 2006 and Lavendon Group Chief Executive since 2002, having spent most of his previous work life in the international transport and logistics industry.
 

His early management career was spent in NFC (now Exel Logistics/DHL) in a variety of sales and operational roles, before becoming European Vice President of FedEx (formerly Caliber) Logistics from 1993 to 2000, based first in the US and then in the Netherlands.
 

Immediately prior to joining Lavendon he ran a pan-European business restructuring exercise for private equity owners.
